Kaiko's beloved cashmere collection will continue, and the SS21 season paints the dreamy soft products in the glowing colors of spring. The luxuriously warm collection is made in Nepal in accordance with the principles of Fair Trade, and Kaiko's promise of Fashion with a mission also comes true in the form of fair jobs for Nepalese women.
The Soft Love collection contains four products designed to bring a little extra softness and warmth to every day. A big scarf is wonderful to wrap around on cool days, a bandana warms the ears and saves bad hair days, and a stylish polo finished with the most elegant details brings a sharp feel to any outfit. New to the collection, a short cardigan, the Cashmere Cardigan is just as well suited to wear with high-waisted bottoms as it is to add layers to long lines. The collection's color palette is a thoughtful mix of delicate broken tones and stronger colors, such as ocher yellow and bright purple.
Kaiko's cashmere products are produced responsibly in a family business in Kathmandu, which employs 20 people. Every product in our cashmere collection is knitted to its shape, so there is no material waste from the production. Saroj and Arundharti, the company's skippers, are very committed to the well-being of their employees and are constantly developing their company's operations. Working days are eight hours, and work is done during normal office hours. The company's working conditions also include free weekends and a salary better than the country's average.
