Fashion with a mission - closer to the dream

The year 2020 has been memorable, in both good and bad ways. The past year at Kaiko has also created many challenges, but the overriding feeling is gratitude. We will remember this year first of all for the growth of our team, for coming together, for fun campaigns and inspiring collaborations.

This year we have taken concrete steps closer to our dream, and Fashion with a mission is now also realized as fair jobs for Nepalese women. We are extremely excited about the step that has brought us to the point where we have been able to expand our production to Nepal. Our story is just beginning, and next year's collections will already have even more products made in Nepal. It is a continuous cooperation that we want to expand every year.

During the past year, Team Kaiko has grown with six new team members, and now Kaiko employs a whopping 16 people! At the beginning of the year, we also combined our forces and missions with Store of Hope, and together we get to employ more and more people in Nepal and contribute to the reduction of poverty and sustainable change.

The year 2020 has also been a year of amazing campaigns and online events, and online shopping has played a bigger role than ever before. With the cancellation of the children's fair and the I Love Me fair, we organized the year's hottest events responsibly online. Unforgettable Baloo! -events in cooperation with our friends Mainio, Papu and Gugguu still bring a smile to your face.

At the end of autumn, we organized a meaningful Buy One Give One campaign together with Lunete, which will result in the donation of 204 monthly cups with education to Nepal during 2021. The donation of moon cups may seem like a small gesture, but it is a concrete demonstration of the good we can do with our choices. Our purchase decisions always have a direct impact on the lives of the people who made the products, and for this reason we want to offer the opportunity to make responsible and effective purchases.

Thank you very much for being a part of Kaiko's journey, and for making this all possible. The stronger Kaiko is, the wider and more sustainable change we are capable of together. A big thank you especially to the amazing Team Kaiko, who with an incredible drive has pulled together through this challenging and memorable year.
