Great news! We are very excited that we have been able to unite with another Finnish brand that is inspiring, meaningful and doing good! KAIKO and Store of Hope are now one!
We are united as people and companies by the dream of a more equal world. Both companies have set out to carry forward this dream in the world of fashion. We get the honor to put our strength together as a team and realize that together we can accomplish even more good things!
Kaiko was born 3 years ago when the company's founder Mirjam Sokka thought about how to combine her dream job in fashion with doing good. The collapse of the Rana Plaza factory in Bangladesh in 2013 sparked movement in the young entrepreneur and as a result Kaiko - Fashion With a Mission was born.
Store of Hope was born from the goal of making inspiring fashion and employing as many people as possible in developing countries. The entrepreneurial duo Eeva Valopaasi and Anna Takala have been carrying this dream forward for 7 years, working in many ways as pioneers in ethical production in Nepal. Over the years, Store of Hope became Kaiko's dear big sister in many ways - a company that had experience in manufacturing products in developing countries, a dream that Kaiko too was aiming for. When in the fall of 2019 Mirjam went to get to know the work in Nepal according to Store of Hope, a joint plan began to form. The vision of two companies to change the fashion world should be done together.
Together we can create meaningful jobs, influence the reduction of poverty and sustainable change. Kaiko's product family will expand with the merger with ethically produced products in Nepal. The first products will already be seen this spring. We can't wait to show you all the wonderful things the future holds!
