Feel the trace of rough wood and craftsmanship - Kaiko launches sunglasses that do good
Have you dreamed that a small everyday choice could make a difference? So do we! Inspired by this, we teamed up with the responsible sunglasses manufacturer Shadeshares.
Kaiko's coarse sunglasses are handcrafted in Nairobi, Kenya from Finnish birch veneer. Behind the responsibly produced sunglasses are young adults from the slums of Nairobi who are trained and employed by Shadeshares.
Kaiko's sunglasses collection includes two more rugged and showy sunglasses: the large-lensed and feminine " Glow't " and the round " Ray't ". Both models are available in both black and light. Polarized and UV-protected sunglasses are made of certified Finnish birch veneer, which creates a unique and rough feel to the glasses.
For every pair of sunglasses purchased, one tree seedling is planted in Kenya.
